About me
I was born and raised in Singapore, and call California home. I currently live in Seoul, South Korea together with my wife and daughter for work.
I have over a decade of Business Intelligence and Analytics experience at both big companies like Google and start-ups. I’ve worked in all sorts of industries such aviation, e-commerce, video streaming, and advertising where I developed, launched and/or scaled:
- Helpful analytics and data engineering teams
- Data capture and warehousing systems
- System observability and monitoring
- Production-grade data pipelines
- Metric and data governance
- Commercial/capacity forecasts
- Product and user analytics
- Sales/revenue operations
I also have a BSc in Information Systems, and a Diploma in Information Technology.
I wrote a paper on a peer-to-peer multiagent system that provides contextual, location-based recommendations to users (this was in 2007 before "agentic AI" was a thing, and mobile phones used the wireless access protocol/WAP).
