About this blog
I write on this blog to develop and refine my thinking at the intersection of what I'm relatively good at (data) and what I'm passionate about (space).

About me
I was born and raised in Singapore, and call California home. I currently live in Seoul, South Korea together with my wife and daughter for work.

I have over a decade of Business Intelligence and Analytics experience at both big companies like Google and start-ups. I’ve worked in all sorts of industries such aviation, e-commerce, video streaming, and advertising where I developed, launched and/or scaled:

  • Helpful analytics and data engineering teams
  • Data capture and warehousing systems
  • System observability and monitoring
  • Production-grade data pipelines
  • Metric and data governance
  • Commercial/capacity forecasts
  • Product and user analytics
  • Sales/revenue operations

I also have a BSc in Information Systems, and a Diploma in Information Technology.

I wrote a paper on a peer-to-peer multiagent system that provides contextual, location-based recommendations to users (this was in 2007 before "agentic AI" was a thing, and mobile phones used the wireless access protocol/WAP).
